You may feel stuck, disconnected, or like you're moving through life on autopilot—reacting rather than responding with intention. As a therapist, I help people access and build upon their inner healing resources to cultivate a stronger relationship with oneself, turn down the volume of persistent thoughts, soften the rough edges of the past, and approach life with greater curiosity and confidence.
In our work together, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental, and calming space where you can safely explore your story and the many parts that make up your unique self. The 13-century poet Rumi wrote, “These pains you feel are messengers. Listen to them.” I am guided by the understanding that deep within each of us, there is wisdom waiting to be nourished and heard. My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), relational psychodynamic theory, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. EMDR Therapy fosters healing through addressing response patterns, belief systems, the mind-body connection, and physical/somatic symptoms. It’s effective in treating a variety of mental health concerns including trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and OCD. I work with older adolescents (ages 16–17) and adults (18+) from all backgrounds, including those who identify as BIPOC and LGBTQIA+. I specialize in long-term, depth-oriented therapy for individuals navigating trauma, identity, and existential concerns. I have experience supporting people with attachment wounding and trauma, low self-worth/self-trust, disconnection from self or others, anxiety, depression, substance use, and relationship issues—including those in poly or ENM structures. If you’re an international student, immigrant, non-citizen, or on a non-immigrant visa (e.g., H-1B), I understand the unique challenges that come with these experiences and integrate that understanding into our work. Born and raised in India, I value community and interconnectedness, and I incorporate collectivist perspectives—especially when working with clients from collectivist cultures. I also support clients in healing from the ongoing impacts of colonization and intergenerational trauma. I hold a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota in Integrated Behavioral Health. I am currently working on obtaining licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) under the supervision of Melissa Erskine,MA, LMFT. My bachelor’s degree, also from the U of M, is in developmental psychology, with a minor in neuroscience. I am a brain nerd and have extensive experience working in clinical psychology and brain MRI research at the U of M. My curiosity about the human brain and nervous system drives me to continuously learn, grow, and evolve my therapy practice. Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my cats (Bubba and Chloe). I do value time on my own and I am energized by sewing, crafting, playing the piano, practicing yoga, reading (mystery, sci fi, and fantasy), and gaming. I also foster cats! I appreciate you taking the time to get to know me as a therapist and person. I am in-network with the following insurance providers: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Health Partners, Hennepin Health, Medical Assistance (MA), and UCare. I also accept private pay and Health Savings Accounts. |
