Meet Kate Hanten, MS
When you walk into my office you will have a safe space to express your emotions, your thoughts and be yourself. I will meet you with respect, kindness and an open mind. Together we will work to process your thoughts and emotions as well as create a path for you to move forward in life. I work with individuals with a variety of challenges from anxiety, depression, life transition and grief or loss. I enjoy working with teens, young adults and the LGBTQ+ community. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy and integrate mind, body and spirit. I also believe that we must process our past before truly moving forwards. I take a collaborative approach to therapy and believe the client holds the answers. Everyone experiences life differently and I take a unique approach to support each client. From a young age I have always dreamed of helping others. My process to becoming a clinical counselor started with receiving my Masters of Science in Education in School Counseling. I have also worked as a school counselor and have experience with kids and teens. Currently I am working toward my LPCC licensure under the supervision of Joan Hause, MA, LPCC at Indigo Counseling Center where I work with teens and adults. When I am not working I enjoy hiking, reading, being time outside, spending time with animals and being with family and friends. Together we can work together to create a positive future. You don't have to face these challenges alone. I can take these insurance policies: Aetna, America's PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Health Partners, Hennepin Health, MA Medicaid, Preferred One, UCare. I also take Private Pay and Health Savings Accounts. I am offering teletherapy and in-person appointments and have day and evening availability.
