Meet Megan Relson MS, LPCC
Navigating your journey through each stage of life can present complex challenges. Having a calm, compassionate, and accepting counselor to walk alongside you can offer hope, clarity and focus toward meeting your goals.
I know that deciding to embark on a counseling journey together can feel scary or overwhelming. Where do I start? Do I really want to tell someone else the things that are closest to my heart and mind? When you enter my space, I commit to meeting you where you are at. My approach to therapy is holistic and collaborative. I see you as a whole person, mind, body, and spirit. I believe that your unique identity, life experiences and environment, impact your wellbeing and path forward. I am passionate about providing a safe, affirming, and welcoming space for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds in which to explore your goals. I seek to help you move past feeling stuck or confused so that you can find wellbeing, whatever that means to you! I specialize in supporting adolescents, young adults, caregivers, and adult clients. My clinical areas of focus include navigating life’s big transitions including schooling, demanding jobs, relationships, pregnancy/postpartum, and parenting. I have experience working with diverse clients experiencing anxiety, depression, (including PMADs), grief/loss, identity and self esteem concerns. I am trained in cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, solution focused and narrative therapy. I have a decade of experience supporting underserved communities, including LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC youth and families as an educator and counselor. I received my masters degree in school counseling from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls and attended the University of Saint Thomas for my clinical counseling licensure. I am licensed by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota. I am a proud mama to both human and fur children. In my free time I enjoy canoeing, cross country skiing, running, fine arts (ceramics/painting), cooking and trying new foods. I appreciate you taking time to get to know me and look forward to partnering with you on your wellness journey! I am in-network with the following insurance providers: Bind, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Health Partners, Hennepin Health, Medical Assistance (MA), Medica and UCare, UMR, United Health Care.
