Meet Lisa Flynn, LICSW
There are times in life when we all feel lost, depressed, anxious, or alone. You may be finding it difficult to be the person you want to be or find the relationships you want to have in your life. Therapy provides a unique, confidential space where we can slow down and take a deeper look at your thoughts, feelings, strengths, and life experiences in order to make sense of what is happening for you. I see the healing process as a joint creative endeavor, and I consider it an honor to accompany others in finding/recovering their voice and making meaningful change in their lives.
I am an independently licensed therapist (LICSW #28722) and I have experience working with both adolescents (16+) and adults in the areas of depression, anxiety, trauma (PTSD and complex PTSD), and dissociation. My primary approaches to therapy are psychoanalytic, humanistic, and trauma-informed and I have received specialized training at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis. I have also been trained in other modalities including DBT, mindfulness, and integrating the creative arts. In addition to my training as a therapist, I also have a master’s degree in theology and can integrate philosophy and spirituality into therapy if desired. I am in-network with the following insurance providers: Bind, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Health Partners, Hennepin Health, Medica, Medical Assistance (MA), UCare, UMR, United Health Care. I also accept private pay. In my free time I enjoy being in nature, spending time with my husband and our three kids, reading literature and poetry, and taking art classes. There is hope – please reach out. I look forward to hearing from you. To schedule a session with Lisa, fill out our "Book Appointment" form below. |
