Meet Nikki Sommerhauser Kubes, MA, LMFT
Life can be full of uncertainty and packed with transitions. Relationships can be messy. Let’s unpack and sift through these struggles together and foster understanding, healing, and growth.
There is power in telling your story! This is a safe, non-judgmental, and authentic space where you bring your whole self and start to tell your story in a way that supports and empowers you. Growth starts by remembering inner resources you may have forgotten and learning some new ones to support your healing process. You can have more balance and a greater sense of calm in your life. Together we will develop a map to help you heal, thrive, and create a deeper sense of connection with yourself and others. I work with individuals, couples, and families to help strengthen their connections and heal wounds. Much of my experience includes supporting people with life transitions, loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship concerns. I utilize a holistic approach grounded in systemic theory and guided by the belief that healing occurs by attending to the mind, body, and spirit. Breath work, mindfulness, and guided imagery are some of techniques I draw from to support people in the healing process. For as long as I can remember, I have always been drawn to supporting people in their work towards healing and well-being. Much of my early career involved providing support to marginalized populations in community mental health in a variety of settings. My approach is collaborative and with respect for each person’s ability to heal through their own innate wisdom. I would be honored to be included in your journey towards wellness. Relationships are central to living a healthy and fulfilled life. I love being in nature as much as I can (especially with my two daughters) doing anything active including biking, hiking, and walks. Our family is currently enjoys following the moon cycles and star gazing. Yoga, meditation, reading, and vegetarian cooking play a big role in creating balance and joy for me. This is a space to have someone partner with you in the healing process, you don’t have to carry this alone. I am in-network with the following insurance providers: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Health Partners, Hennepin Health, Medical Assistance (MA), Preferred One, and UCare. Please confirm coverage with your insurance company. I also accept private pay. Pronouns: she/her/hers To schedule an appointment with Nikki, fill out our "Book Appointment" form below. |
