Meet Morgan Berggren
Navigating life’s complexities can often feel overwhelming. Amid the busyness of day-to-day life, it can be challenging to take the time to make sense of your experiences and envision where you’re headed next. Therapy offers a valuable space to pause and reconnect with yourself. My goal is to support you in understanding how your past affects your present while helping you develop the skills to confidently live a life that aligns with your goals and values.
When life feels overwhelming or you find yourself stuck in unhelpful patterns, it’s easy to overlook the strengths that have brought you this far. I am committed to helping you embrace those strengths and integrate them into your healing journey. My approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centered, which means I value your unique perspective and work creatively alongside you as you explore what it means to live as your most genuine self. By recognizing the impact of your past experiences and harnessing your strengths, we can work together to construct a more empowering and hopeful future. I have experience working with adults seeking therapy for a variety of reasons, including help with depression, anxiety, relational difficulties, life transitions, and grief relating to loss and divorce. If you're unsure where to start, that’s okay – we’ll ease into the process at a pace that feels comfortable and meaningful for you. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and affirming space for individuals from all backgrounds. You can expect to be met with compassion, understanding, curiosity, and a touch of humor, whether you walk into my office or log onto a telehealth session. The opportunity to use creativity and to continually learn new things are some of my favorite aspects of working alongside clients and they are also values I hold in my life outside of my work; some of my recent creative endeavors have included crocheting, painting, and cooking new foods, though I’m sure there will be new ones added by the time we connect! I also find joy in time spent outdoors, whether that’s a walk along University Avenue or hiking in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. I earned my master’s degree in Counseling and Psychology from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and completed my bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities in General Psychology. I am currently working toward LPCC licensure under the supervision of David Swirnoff, MA, LPCC at Indigo Counseling Center. Your story is valued and welcomed in this space, and I look forward to joining you on your journey to a brighter tomorrow. I am currently accepting new clients for both telehealth and in-person sessions. I am in-network with the following insurance providers: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Health Partners, Hennepin Health, Medical Assistance (MA), and UCare. I also accept private pay.
