|
Lauren (she/her) graduated with her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota. She has her 200-hour certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher and previously taught college-level courses at the University of Wisconsin on meditation, mindfulness, and holistic wellness. Lauren’s approach to the therapeutic relationship is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that the client is the expert of their own life, and Lauren is here to help guide.
Lauren works with children (ages 6+), teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, ADHD, and relational concerns. With teen and adult clients, Lauren incorporates person-centered, emotion-focused, and somatic approaches (nervous system regulation), and draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT/DBT, and solutions-focused modalities. Lauren uses a trauma-informed and systemic approach when helping clients make sense of their experiences in the context of their relationships and the world around them. With younger clients, Lauren uses play therapy to aid emotional processing, and collaborates with parents and caregivers to strengthen parent-child attachment and attunement. Lauren can accept the following insurance policies: Aetna, America’s PPO, BCBS and BCBS MA, Cigna, EAP All One Health, HealthEZ, HealthPartners and HP MA, Hennepin Health, Medica/Medica MA, Minnesota Medicaid (MA) UCare and UCare MA. Lauren is currently accepting new clients for Telehealth and in-person. To schedule an appointment with Lauren, fill out our "Book Appointment" form below. |
