Meet Gretchen Klefstad, MA
You have been feeling more anxious, stressed, and disconnected from life. It looks like you have it all together, but on the inside, it feels as though you are simply going through the motions of life. You feel stuck in a state of transition, continuously analyzing what comes next, struggling to feel grounded in the present day. This feeling of transition influences your work life, your personal relationships, and your emotional experiences. You feel drained from the constant stimulation of contemplating the future, your actions, and what comes next. You want to find peace and contentment with your decisions and the changes you are experiencing. Together, we can navigate these times of change with a clearer, more focused mind. I strive to help you find a deeper understanding of yourself, your emotions, and your meaning of life to propel you through these times of transition. Transitions can show up in so many ways: from losing a loved one, losing an aspect of our identity, completing a significant milestone, changing careers, adjusting our relationships, or simply diving in for a fresh start. Changes can be challenging, but as a therapist, I believe in and utilize a holistic approach to healing by incorporating the body, mind, and spirit. After spending time in India, I have been exploring the use of meditation, mindfulness activities, creative interventions, and physical activation in my practice. These tools and strategies can help lower depression and anxiety while cultivating a deeper understanding of one’s self. I am also currently working towards licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Minnesota, under the supervision of Joan Hause, MA, MFA, LPCC. During graduate school, I came to understand what a gift it is to share a space with clients and witness the determination and resilience of humans. I am excited to continue this work with you. I have availability for daytime or evening appointments. Send me an email to set up a first appointment: gretchen@indigocounselingcenter.com. I am available for Teletherapy appointments.
