Meet Anastasia Press, MA, LPCC
Life often involves conflicting emotions: Hope and loss, growth and stagnation. When we feel stuck, it is natural for us to seek support as we try to understand ourselves and make meaning of our lives.
Together, you and I can explore the connections between your emotions and your experiences to help you weather the ups and downs of life. Counseling isn’t “one size fits all,” and together we can craft a counseling experience that feels right for you. I believe that everyone’s story is influenced by their culture and identities, and I am a LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapist. I particularly enjoy helping people work through life transitions, trauma, identity development and exploration, relationship concerns, depression, and anxiety. Some strategies I often utilize include finding patterns in relationships and emotions, mindfulness/meditation, and trauma-informed therapy. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a researched-based and highly effective way to help people remember difficult life experiences without reliving them, as well as see themselves in a more positive light. EMDR was initially developed for those struggling with traumatic stress, but it has also been shown to be effective for a wide range of other concerns, including depression and anxiety. I received my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota. Insurance I can take: Aetna, America's PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Health EZ, Health Partners, Hennepin Health, Medicaid (MA), Preferred One, and UCare. I also take private pay and Health Savings Accounts. To schedule an appointment with Anastasia, fill out our "Book Appointment" form below. |
